• The Figure “8” Design: The hallmark of the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde line is its off-centered display layout. The upper sub-dial tracks the hours and minutes, while an oversized lower sub-dial maps out the running seconds. Together, they visually lock into a shape resembling a lucky figure 8.
• The Dial Texture: The background features an intricate, textured Clous de Paris motif (recessed pyramid guilloché work) that creates fascinating geometric play and changes appearance depending on how it catches light. 
• The Power Reserve: Positioned at 9 o’clock, a minimalist semi-circular arc measures the remaining energy, using a gold-toned tracking sector that harmonizes with the watch’s three primary 18k red gold hands.
